Last night someone rifled
the trash bin at the corner
of Gold Street,
probably looking for cans.
Flattened Office Max
and Costco boxes
strewn around the base
like a scattered deck of cards.
A petite pink cotton bra
with an unfastened safety pin
to close the front,
lay fashionably deshabille
on the sidewalk.
